Bohol at its best

I always wanted to tour around Bohol because of the massive popularity that the place been gaining because of its natural wonder. And last weekend I got the chance to explore the land of the famous chocolate hills. It was a vacation all expense paid by a good pal. :-)

I took the route cdo-cebu-bohol and then vice versa, a day trip via superferry. I bought my eticket CDO-CEBU at P631.79/way which is claimable at the counter in port area upon departure time so no need to claim the actual ticket in superferry office. All you just need to do is to complete the requirements.

*Superferry eticket requirements:
: confirmation letter should be signed by credit/debit card holder
: Xerox copy of the credit/debit card use (it is always safe to erase the last digit number in the Xerox copy of your card)
: ID photocopy of the card owner (back & front)
:ID photocopy of the passenger/s (back & front)

Upon arrival in Cebu I met up my friend who was my sponsor for that weekend trip..hehe..  And I ended up sleeping in their quarter in V. Sotto Hospital (she is a physician anyway). At early morning 6am we then headed to pier 1 in Cebu to embark to bohol via fast craft. At P200/person with a terminal fee of P10 each we are ready to bound to Tubugin port in Bohol. It was approximately 1 hour ride.

At Tubigon port we were fetched by our van. For 1 day tour it cost us P4, 000 for the van rental, and that includes all the famous tourist spots in Bohol. Some places that we visited were:

·Sagbayan Peak – entrance fee P20/each.  Very cozy and feels like Baguio. But I think it would be nice to visit this place before sunset. It would be romantic to have dinner with someone special with a wow view around.
·Chocolate Hills- entrance fee P50/each. Of course this is very famous. It was indeed an amazing wonder in Philippines. But in order to see the over-all view you need to take the 204 steps up. Quiet tiring but it’s worth it though.
·Man-made forest – no entrance fee. You can just a short picture taking in this place because it is on the way to Loboc River.
·Hanging bridge- I don’t know what’s something amazing in this bridge that they made it a tourist attraction…hehehe… I don’t bother to go down; we just had a sneak peak in the place anyways there a lot of hanging bridge in the country. J
·Loboc River (Floating Restaurant) – at P300/ each eat all you can and entrance fee of P100/ each.  We chose Riverwatch floating resto because I think their rafts are well design.
·Blood Compact – just a statue for picture taking for the recognition of the blood compact that happened in the exact area.
·Baclayon Church- also the most famous oldest church in Phils.
·Hinagdanan Cave – natural underworld cave. It is also located in Panglao Island but in the opposite side of Panglao Beaches.
With all the places of interest I’ve listed above. I enjoyed most in the Loboc River Floating Restaurant. Not only because the food was tasteful and yummy..hehe…but also maybe because it was very relaxing. Sailing in a boat while someone sings for you and you get to see the natural view of the river was very rewarding after a tiring walked. We are also lucky enough that our raft was pulled to be attached in the raft of the Loboc choir for us to witness them performed. Everyone are free to dance, sing or use their yukilili for picture taking.
We then headed-off to Panglao Beaches for a good swim. Since we have limited time left that is why we just went to Dumaluan Beach Resort-1. It is a public beach area in Panglao which is also a white sandy beach just also along Alona Beach resort. Not as bad as people think of a public beach resort. All sports activity is also available for a grab. For the accommodation check out their rates below:
